Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (RTS) is a rare genetic condition that is present in 1 in 300,000 people. Children and adults with RTS tend to have medical complications that occur more frequently than the general population. People with RTS may have some form of intellectual disability but the range of abilities varies from person to person.
One of the most difficult things for people with RTS, and their families is often the lack of answers and resources available There is little research, and diagnosis is often complicated by the social invisibility of people with RTS.
Today, World Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome Day, we invite you to learn about this syndrome and contribute to creating greater equity for people with SRT.
